Beware cheap BDs

7 blu rays i made mostly 2-3 years back with 1920x1080P footage from a sony SR-12 i had at the time will not now play, only 2 of the ones from 1920P files now work,ones made with HDV material work, i am refering to BDs burnt with cheap white discs, why it has only affected discs from 1920P i dont know, the 1920P from the SR-12 is now lost, i do have menued copies of SR-12 on HDV on bd luckily, i have 50 BDs on good grade disc from HDV source back to 2005.
So cheap discs or cheap with 1920P i dont know but i shall not use cheap BDs again.
 
In 2-3 years he might have problems with that secondary hard drive as well.

Never use "cheap" discs (either CD/DVD/BD) in backup situations. Spend the extra change.
