Hey,
I have to send a few shots to a friend who's using After effetcs CS5 to add smoke / gun / blood effects and such.
Just wondering which exported file type is best, as in which will keep the quality of my original footage from FCP into AE then back to FCP once he's done with the effects?
in the past I Just used the regular "quicktime movie" export setting though when the shots came back to me they were a tad washed out and a little more noisy.
my friend says apple pro res 422 or h246 works well. .....I did a test export on one shot using both, and one (the pro res) seems darker and with a tad more noise.
the h246 is cleaner but a bit washed out.
any one done this workflow successfully before? Any ideas?
Thanks a bunch
