Hi, New to DVX100, just bought mine used. I want to video interior shots of new homes, here's what I really want to do: http://vimeo.com/14098028 what's the best wide angle for me for my DVX100a? (I did a forum search first and did not find a conclusive answer).

Thank you in advance for your help.

Thank you so much!

So, I need to get the "fisheye" or "distorted" view in order to achieve such a wide angle, right?

no, if you want the SAME look as that video then yes go with the fisheye i recommended (fisheye also has a greater angle of view).

now if you want a more natural look with a less peripheral view then go with the wide angle

I got the Century Optics .6 and it is as wide as you can go without real noticeable distortion.
You can still get some if you walk through a door or steadycam truck past objects closely... but that can be really nice... like a with a car or such.
I spoke with Century this week because I am thinking of upgrading to the HPX-170 as it is still 72mm filter size... they said that the diopter (close up) adapter would fit immediately, but the .6 wide angle adapter could work if they adjusted it.
Now I'm torn between the HPX-170 and the new AF100... but the old DVX100 is still working great and making money.... I did three commercials, two corporate films, and a museum film since the spring and no complaints...
best regards
Dale
