I will be shooting an enviroment that has a lot of LCD computer screens, in some sceens it will be necessary to see what is on the screen. What are the best camera setting to capture this and avoid moire , flicker and other artifacts. In USA, planned on using 1080/24 at 50 shutter, but I will adjust to whatever is reccomended here.

Well to shoot a screen in the us its powered by 60hz so 1/60th should be the way to go. But due to screens operating at different refresh rates youll have to try to match it. The issue is the GH1 doesnt have a common video camera feature called syncro scan which basically lets you get it perfect.

Depending on the screens you could be out of luck without getting pulsing lines moving up the screen.

Usually LCD's should show up ok, CRTs are the nightmare without syncro-scan. Set all the LCDs to 60hz...or if you don't have access to them just hope they are. But yeah, shoot 1/60th not 1/50th.

You shouldn't have any trouble with LCD's at any refresh rate, as most don't flicker. Only if you set the shutter speed really very high could you run in to problems.

Moire can be a problem though. Perhaps you could shoot with the monitors very slightly out of focus.
