Best way to shoot 60fps?

Sorry, I know this is a noob question but I just got my Odyssey and am confused about something. With no Odyssey, you can shoot 60FPS in 24 with S&Q but when outputting RAW 2k with Odyysey, the 60FPS is not available. Am I missing something?

You can shoot 60fps, but it's a little different. You have to go in and change the base frame rate from 24fps to 60fps. Basically, with S&Q when recording internally, it has 3 frame rates - 24fps, 60fps and super slow motion. With the 7Q, S&Q only has 2 frame rates - 24fps OR 60fps and Super Slow motion..

Thanks! So I need to set output format of the camera to be 2048x1080 / 60p? I understand that 60p halves the bit rate internally, so if I'm recording internally simultaneously to the 7Q, the files internally will be at a lower quality? Is this optimal way to get 60fps on the odyssey? It's not at a 24 FPS base?

That's how I do it and I believe it's the only way, unless someone else knows better. I believe the halving of the bit rate is just an internal SDHC thing, but that can be changed internally as well. I don't believe (or hope) that the 7Q does that.

Also, the 7Q does not conform the footage to 24fps like it does with SDHC card, so you have to do that in your NLE.
