So I have had this camera for a few weeks now and i am still having issues with the menu. For some reason the only thing i am able to do with it is change the tungsten or daylight. I ve been told you could work the menus connected with a laptop. However to hook it up you need the IP address of the camera and i have no way of finding it through the complicated menus. Why is it whenever i scroll with the page button and land on say changing the slog, once you click on set it doesn't change anything. Any help would be appreciated

You have to click and hold set until a cursor shows up with a ? mark if I recall correctly. You then use the rotary dial and button to change and set menu items. There is only so much you can do on the side menu and really need to access the full menu. This can be done with the viewfinder and probably the monitor sdi out but am not sure about that.

Yeah, what I do with the F35s that fall into my hands is connect it to a laptop, and just leave the important menus in the camera display: cine EI mode confirmation, WB preset, 1080p mode selection, shutter speed and ISO. Done, it couldn't be simpler.
Easy enough to do through an internet browser plugged into the camera and very little computer skills.
