Best Way To Import 7D Footage ".mov" Files?

when i was trying out cineform neoscene it wouldnt recognize my .mov files right from the 7d....i want to do all my editing in uncompressed .avi -10 bit how do i go about this or closest possible..?

There is no such thing as AVI uncompressed 10-bit.

Your choices for 10-bit are:

1. Cineform
2. MOV codecs like DNxHD, AJA 10 bit, Black Magic 10bit
3. DPX or EXR files (buy BIIIIG Hard drives)

Your choices for uncompressed are:

1. AVI uncompressed 8-bit
2. MOV uncompressed (which I believe is also 8 bit)
3. TIFF/PNG files

You get to choose your path young jedi...

Actually there is ... v210 is 4:2:2 10-bit uncompressed, and it's compatible in AVI container.

Big data rates, so you need lots of HDD space, and don't expect fast scrubbing with a single mechanical HDD.

In fact, it's just about the only format that you can keep BT.709 in premiere (yet another of many, many, premiere quirks/bugs)

It's useful for delicate keys where even a tiny bit of noise from generational compression artifacts can ruin your composite

You could use ffmpeg to convert (it's a commandline application, but you could use a GUI for it, like avanti, but you have to set it up)
