Best way to get clean image...

Hello...

I am planning to start shooting an online TV show set in Manchester, England...and following a group of Thirty something friends...but this is where the similarity ends with the more famous show with FRIENDS in the title :)

I will be shooting on my DVX100b...and the show will be put up on my website,..but hosted by Vimeo...

Could anyone give me advise on which settings would be best to use..? Would it be best to shoot in F6.., F5,..or F1...?

And whats the best settings to shoot in..?

The show will be made solely on location,...there will be ZERO budget...but hopefully a cracking script with good actors. There will be some lighting hopefully,...but that may consist of a couple of theatre lights and gels..or even just the standard DIY store lamps..

Thankyou

Rob

What I'm trying to ask...(though not very well) is which settings are best to get the cleanest look to display footage on Vimeo...

Is the SQUEEZE setting appropriate for this..? And what would be the best Scene File setting for this type of venture..?

Thanks again...hope I'm making a bit more sense this time..

Squeeze is fine. The cleanest image will be produced with lots of light. Less light = more noise. Don't overexpose, obviously, but underexposing will increase your risk of noise considerably.

Clean?

Exposure, focus, stay away from shaky camera.

Focus is the key, especially for the sharp image the DVX produces.

thanks guys...
when you say 'shoot flat'....what do you mean exactly ? Do you mean just shoot in F1...I was wondering wether to shoot it all in F5 or F6 to get the more filmic kinda look...but I'm now more leaning towards shooting in F1..??

thanks again...
