Ok so I have a video that is about a hour long. It is shot with a vx1000 standard defination. 12bit audio ntsc. I have final cut pro 7 and i have a macbook pro. What is the best way to export/compress from final cut pro 7 for a dvd? can someone please give me some settings for best quality possible. Im having some trouble doing this. thanks

Export the project at current project settings, audio and video.

Quit FCP.

Drop the new file into Compressor and use the preset for DVD-Best Quality-60 minutes (unless your project runs longer than 60, then use the 90-minute preset).

Compressor will create your compressed video and a separate audio file that are ready for DVD Studio Pro.

i dont see a preset for 60mins. i only see one for 90 120 150 will using the 90mins preset be worse quality then using a 60min preset? is there a way to make a 60min preset?

thanks, I exported my video from finalcut pro 7 and then i used compressor and compressed it using dvd setting and burned it with compressor. i aslo burned another one with dvd studio pro. but i notice the audio is off a very slight bit like if someone speaks the audio and song with the transitions are off it happened on the dvd do u know why this is happening? any help is much appreciated thanks

Two things are wrong. First, your shift key on your keyboard seems to be broken. Second, you recorded your audio at 12 bit instead of 16bit which is the standard. All DVDs are 48khz audio, so 44.1khz can get shifted in conversion and not match.
