HPX250: best way to do slow mo?

Hi - forgive me if this is a very basic question but whats the best technique/way to do a smooth slow mo effect playback to 24fps.
Doing a music video, for example someone smoking and the smoke coming out of his mouth - shooting at 1080p.

The best way is to put it in 720p for those shots, and use the variable frame rate feature.

It'll be a little lower res, but the motion will be perfect frame-for-frame smooth slow-mo.

Hey Barry do you think that the HPX250 will eventually get a 1080 60p upgrade like the AC160a just got? And if not, why do you think that is?

I don't think it will happen, because the codec the HPX250 uses doesn't support 1080/60P.
