Best way to connect a Sound devices Mixpre and a Sony pcm-10

I just bought the origianl version of the Sound devices Mixpre second hand with a Sony pcm-10 from Adorama. They gave me the cable below to connect both. I don't know if it is the proper cable because I think it should have been a dual xlr to 3.5 jack. I am a photographer and bought it for my small personal project and I am a noob in Audio. So if you have any recommendation please put a link to BH for example, it will be easier for me.

Since the PCM-M10 has a 1/8" TRS line-level input (stereo), your best connection will be a 1/8">1/8" cable to connect the mixer's Tape Out to the recorder's Line In. It won't be a long cable run since the recorder and the mixer should stay together, so the unbalanced connection won't be an issue.
