GH2 Best video light for GH2?

I'm looking for a video light I can mount on top of my GH2 for around $100-300.


What's the best one out there for that budget?

I have 2 of these that I got through Amazon. Probably the best you will find in the price range. Has color temp change and dimming. Only drawback is the crappy little ball-head to cold-shoe adapter they give you. I have replaced both of the ones they sent with a higher quality one.

I was looking at the 312 earlier and some people are saying it's too dim.

Do you find it too dim or more than bright enough?

I've got two Z96's and I like them.

Use a Sony battery on them as normal AA batteries will flicker when running out

If you want gobs of light, you'd be hard pressed to get better than this at the size and price.

With the battery loaded it can feel a little clumbersome but it's manageable. I would recommend getting a second battery if you plan to do a lot of lighting in one go.

I bought the "stand" which is a ripoff (pricewise) but nice for mounting on something other than the mic.

I'll second this one. Have used it for a while now with great results. Definitely worth the extra that you might spend on it.

I don't think its too dim at all....but then again I do not have another small, on-camera LED light to compare it to.

Why does that seem to be the norm? Don't these light makers realize that better than 90% of the time we need a light, we're indoors!
