best stablizer

whats a good stabilizer for the dvx100a? I been looking at the Merlin 2. I will be shooting a short film about a home invasion lots of running, so input will be nice thank you
 
Have you found anything yet? If not, there are a lot of pretty effective DIY units explained in Youtube and elsewhere - you just have to chose wisely. I actually built 5 different approaches with varying success between terrible and great - call me persistent - but have one now (#6!) that allows lots of running and action.

Whats your budget? The steadicam solo is soon to be available and should be a great option for a low budget steadicam rig. You going to get a lot more inertia out of it as compared to the Merlin. If your doing a lot of running I recommend purchasing or renting an arm/vest absorb the up and down shock.
