Best Stabilizer for under $600

Hello, I shoot BMX and after a very successful video used a Glidecam people have started stepping up their gear and I need to do the same. The go-to answer would be a Glidecam 4000 for my hpx (plus fisheye weight) but I know it's not the only game in town.

I need what offers the most shock absorption because I would be on foot trying to keep up with bikes or sometimes on inline skates or a bike if it's really that good to one hand the device while riding on a bike.

Thanks!

Couple things,

glidecam 4000 is a great way to get steady footage. If you plan on running around all day chasing bikes - thats not going to happen. Plan on 2-3 minutes at a time. I killed myself my 1st time out shooting a music video. The songs were 3 minutes long and it got tough to say the least, hpx and a fish eye are even heavier then my rig too...

A good vest and arm to support it will bring you up way more than double your budget... how about a Halo Rig or a figrig type stabilizer?

Also a shoulder mount support would work pretty good... hrmm maybe.

If I'm borderline jogging will a fig rig be able to take up that sort of vibration? With the bikes it would be try the trick, fall, reset, try again... So I could rest my arm a little inbetween trys.

So the glidecam is the best option without getting into the big money?

There is also some pretty decent sleds on ebay - flycam... my sled weighs 15lbs, probably similar to what a hvx/fisheye would be. Thats the weight of 2 gallons of milk, in one hand...

I shot a wake boarding trick competition a while back, freehand. Similar scenario but I didn't have to run all that much. I really wish I had a fig rig at the time. One of the cams had OIS off, and it came out so shaky.

Can you walk fast and use a little zooming? either way you will probably want a remote zoom s/s controller. I use mine with both setups. You cant really use anything on the camera when flying.
