Ok, so here's a quick summary to explain where I'm at.
I've edited my 1st rough-edit of my feature-length film on Vegas Pro 6.0 (The rough-edit is 100 minutes in duration, split into five 20 minute intervals - separate veg.files) Due to money/time constraints - I wanted to quickly begin editing the rough picture edit on Vegas. Now that I want to switch to FCP (Final Cut Studio 2) I would like to know if this would be an appropriate way to switch NLEs during post-production:
To my knowledge, you cannot pull up .veg files in a FCP timeline - SO, I thought that I'd render all of my project files AVI Uncompressed WITH 2:3:3:2 insertion (Since I shot 24PA) and then pull that up in FCP and edit as I please.
Does this sound like my only option? Would this even work?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Feel free to knock my idea and tell me to go to school - I'm a 19 year old filmmaker who has yet to go to film school - and pretty much learns everything either by trail and error, or DVXuser
Thanks,
E
