FS7: Best slomo setting for bird-filming

What is the best setup for slow motion with the FS7?
Shutter speed and frame rate, for 4K and 1920 x 1080 center scan.

Filming birds in a small pond, fighting, landing, flying, running on water etc.

Thanks

That's easy: 24P recorded at 180 fps @ 1/400 with the lens wide open.

99% of the slow-mo in these three videos were shot with my FS7 using those settings.

Thanks!

Nice birds!

With focusing I only can dream of.

Do you choose 1/400 for a reason? What would be your limit (highest) shutter speed?

I am waiting for an upcoming drama, a heron (like the one in your first film) is stalking the black coot couple in the pond in front of my house. He is waiting for an opportunity to steal some newborn chicks. (which are 8 eggs still). (Some locals irreverent name these birds jesus ducks because of their capability to walk on water).

The coots fiercely defend their nest, but the herons time will come I'm afraid. All happens very fast. Used 1/100 untill now. (25p). So cache is handy.

Yes, I always choose my shutter speed for a reason.
Regardless of the camera's frame rate I always use a shutter speed that is a little faster than than twice the frequency of the frame rate. So shooting at 180 fps on the FS7, the best choice is 1/400. The next available choice is 1/576 and that would be too fast. 1/450 would be my ideal choice if it was possible. A lot of people like to use a 180 degree shutter for everything they shoot but I find that is always too slow for my taste. Even when I'm not shooting HFR I would never use 180 degrees.
