best skate video yet!

Nice spots and skating. I noticed that almost all the shots were medium or long shots, they were shot from far that is. Get much closer with the camera, experiment with fresh and wide angles, follow the skater.

The secret to get the most out of skating is to get close with the camera, put the viewer breathing with the same level with the skater. All the tricks and moves look some much bigger when they are shot from close approx. Wide angle lenses are good, but I think their over use have made skate videos rather boring in the last years. Extreme barrel distortion is nice sometimes, but not all the time!
Skateboard videos were known for their fresh approach back in the days, so experimenting is more that adviced!
 
best skating video I've seen all day. The kid skating is good. I agree w/ Proffit on getting closer on some of the tricks. The show where you pulled out slowly from the rail, I thought he was going to grind down it, it would have looked dope. All in all though, it was good, especially for one days work
 
Some good skaters, and yes, nice video. I like the shot where the board flies into the camera
 
Man, that kid is really good. Makes me jealous to be sitting in an office right now... I know what I'm doing when I get out of work.

Keep posting your videos, man. Try to have a little more fun with creative angles. I think a fisheye lens might be appropriate. I picked up a .3x Century Optics from a guy here for really cheap and I absolutely love it.
 
Anyone have vigenetting problems with the centry fisheye? I did and was wondering if anyone had a way around that or fix. Just curious... video looked awesome by the way! I kinda liked the far shots... I have seen a lot of wide shots for skateboarding and the longer lens stuff was refreshing...

cool vid.. i'd vary the shots like someone said.. cutting from a medium shot to a slighter more medium shot makes the viewer confused at times.
