GH2 Best shutter speed at 720p50?

When filming at 720p50, is it better to film at 1/50th of a second (for natural-looking motion blur) or 1/100th (to follow the 180-degree shutter rule)?? Any advice appreciated! This question is slightly perplexing me!

At 60fps and below, I think motion blur is largely independent of frame rate. To my eyes, a shutter speed of around 1/45 - 1/60 imparts a natural-looking amount of motion blur. I use a 1/60 sec shutter for all NTSC video taping to avoid 60Hz AC power line strobing effects, and I'd expect 1/50 sec shutter would work well in 50Hz PAL countries.

Thanks - so you're saying that there's no need to go to 1/100th at 50p? That makes sense. I guess the only thing you *can't* do, then, is have a shutter speed slower than the frame rate.....
