Best Settings for a Motocross video

What would be my best settings as far as slowing down people riding/jumping during a motocross video? 720/60P? or is there a better setting that would record it more naturally in slo-mo like 24P? If thats the case, how do you keep FCE from bumping it up to 60P like i believe it does? Thanks for the help!

For any fast action material, 720/60p seems to be the best choice; consider the following options for slow motion:

720/60p Regular motion
50% equivalent to seeing 30p material, 1/2 speed
33% equivalent to seeing 20p material, 1/3 speed
25% equivalent to seeing 15p material, 1/4 speed

If you use 60i, the interlace can cause problems.

If you use 30p, 720 or 1080, you could drop to 50% speed.

Below that, you should start to see a strobe like effect because the frame rate is too low.
