What is the best way to compress my video starting from adobe premiere pro so I can put it on youtube.?

Do you have the whole CS3 production suite or just premiere version do you have cause if
you have the CS3 suite, there should be a program you get called flash video encoder. thats the easiest way. or export using highest settings and download SUPER (just google super) and there is an .FLV setting use that and youtube shouldn't recompress your video that much.

lots of threads about this for sure, all saying "do a search there are lots of threads about this" in actuality there aren't that many. lol

Maybe there would be a lot less "Dude, do a search, bro" type comments if the site didn't make you wait one minute between searches. And if it didn't omit common terms from the search. Yeah, yeah, I know you can use google to do a site-specific search, but then you can't sort by date. Why can't they fix this?

Thanks, I just use premiere 1.0 and put the full res avi right into dr.divx. make sure you make the bit rate 4000, and increase the audio quality. It will give you a pretty good file.

damn, i downloaded divx player and dr divx but apparently it's got a bug that makes it crash once it starts encoding. so i gave up on that and opened an account at exposureroom.com because you can upload any file size you want there, and it also gives people the option to download the original file which i think is really cool...

also just realized today that youtube has upped their size limit to 1G!!!! when did this happen? oh my.. well it took me several hours to upload but i got like a 500mb file on there, which was still compressed to hell again. the high quality option is helping tho.. the whole &fmt=18 thing. somehow, this new vid i uploaded is automatically playing in high quality without even adding &fmt=18 to the url string .. so weird. anyways, i'm settling for now, after spending several days driving myself nuts over video compression. here's a link to my music video i filmed and edited for my friends band.. hope you like it...

i've actually been getting some good results on youtube now, thanks to being able to upload 1G files! most of the time i don't have to compress it at all. check this out!

make sure to click on 'view in high quality' option below the video, if it doesnt start in high quality by default (Dependant on your bandwith).. even standard quality is much better than my prev results.

this particular video was 1.06 G. i used Visual Hub and compressed it using the MPEG option and in advanced setting checked off 'fit video under' and entered 1024 MBS. also two pass and de-interlacing. thats it.

i'm happy with this quality, what do you guys think?
