best processor for editing

Hi, I have to change my notebook I use for videoediting and I don't know if the best processor (for editing on a notebook!!!) is Pentium 4 3.0 Ghz or Core duo 2.17 Ghz.
What do you think ??

Core duo by far. I just blogged on all the new Intel cores and how well they performed with HD decoding. The current Core Duo is the "Yonah" part, it is a nice performer. I don't test the older cores like the P4 in this blog, but I know from experience you will want to go with a dual core system. Although you can see in these tests you might want the next generation "Merom" mobile dual core (I think that will be labelled Core 2 Duo.)
