GH3 Best Premier Pro Sequence for GH3 MOV files?

(CS6 on PC) Just curious what others are using for their GH3 all-i MOV footage? I'm assuming you want to stay away from AVCHD presets so I've been using AVC-Intra 24p Sequence settings. What about you? I see there's also a "Digital SLR" for Canon etc... available...

I'm just dragging a clip onto the New icon at the bottom of the bin and letting Premiere created a sequence based on the clip's setting. Quick. Easy. And all the right settings!

When I create a new sequence from a MOV file, it creates AVCHD which cant be right. I think I'll stick to the Digital SLR or Arri settings.

Hey guys, does Premiere handle the GH3 MOVs natively? On FCP7 and my 8core MacPro I get choppy playback, but I guess that´s because of the h264 underneath. Will you transcode for editing?

I have CS6. As soon as I drop the sequence in the timeline, I can get playback without any choppiness. I don't do any transcoding. I am shooting in MOV 1080p, 60fps.

When using PPro, remember that whatever the Project/sequence settings, you can throw any footage into the project, basically resolution independent. I "Zoom and Pan" 1080i and 1080p footage in a SD sequence/timeline for my theatrical school videos. Works great. So don't get too hung up on the settings. The suggestion of letting PPro do it for you is just fine. I would keep track of the framerate... Also, if your PC meets the min. req.s for the Mercury Playback Engine, your playback should be smooth. I edit a GH2, a FX-1 (1080i) and both wih RGB Curves and Proc Amp filters and playback is smooth.
