Hi - Would you recommend the 17" powerbook for editing from my new dvx100a?waykoolkh said:drjrt,
Lets remember, way back when Avid was only an off-line tool, and there was only three choices of resolution. (AVR 1,2,or3). It first came out only on a mac. I have been with Avid (editing) that long. I now have AXP on a Powerbook 17", w/ mojo, I think it runs just as good if not better than the Avids I have at work, (CBS Denver).
I have an older Dell Desktop, and need to buy a laptop for working with clients. I've been assuming apple is the way to go to edit video, so I thought I'd make the new laptop an apple. Is is up to editing short films (vs a powermac desktop?)
Also, do you like Avid better than Final Cut Pro?
Thanks a bunch.
