I don't know what you consider bulk, but I get some pretty good deals at CompUSA from time to time. Every once in a while they have the DVD-r on sale. This past time I bought 50 for $20 which I think is a decent deal. If anyone knows a better deal, I would love to hear about it so I can buy from there!

I recently bought a spindle of DVD+Rs (printable) from Supermediastore.com and have been very satisfied. They have a huge selection and also sell in bulk.

Give these guys a try. I've been buying from them for a while.
Good prices, great selection, fast service. They're in the Los Angeles area.
