best MTS conversion?

I am looking for a software conversion to convert my files from the HMC150 to WMV so that I can edit on Movie Maker. Currently I use a software called Emicsoft, and when I do the reds in the video come out pulsating, as if the white balance was going berserk during filming. I need a quality conversion software that doesn't monkey wiht the look of the original video. Any recommendations?

Thanks. I have just tried Freemake Video http://download.cnet.com/Freemake-Video-Converter/3000-2194_4-75218346.html available for free on the internet, and so far it converts successfully (without the pulsating reds). The quality of the conversion from MTS to WMV with this software is exceptional.
