Hi,

seen a few posts about Noga's being a good choice but theres so many diff size arm options available!
if anyone knows good mounting arm recommendations can you post the brand and specific model number in your reply so I know which one to order,
I want to use the top handle to mount and keep the shoe free for toplights/radio mics etc,

Many Thanks

Luke

Hi , Just a thought: if you remove the top and side grips you have an extra shoe and a much smaller setup. I mount my 7" marshall monitor on the top and radio mic on the side- very compact.
Cheers!

I'd use an Edelkrone EVF mount - sits on the AF101 perfectly and gives you movement to alter the angle of the screen. What's that you say? Where can you get one? Well, *ahem* it just so happens I'm selling one! http://www.bblist.co.uk/item.php?item=40895 In all seriousness though, this was by far my favourite monitor arm for the 101; I used it for EVFs, monitors up to 7" and Samurais. The big bonus is that it never loses its friction and flops away like a Noga can.

Oh and as for the hot shoe issue, the edelkrone can either occupy it or you can screw it on to a mounting hole via a grommet (is that the right name for a screw with two ends?)

I used a ~7" Israeli arm screwed into one of the top handle's 1/4-20 holes. Alternately it mounts low on top of my side-slung shoulder pad.

1-2 wireless receivers mount to the side (after the stock side handle is removed) with the help of a Rycote shoe extender.

Also replaced the stock mic holder with a modified J-Rod Twin Mount ( http://www.adorama.com/CZJRSSTM.html ), far sturdier than the stock thing and adds an extra shoe (just in case). Mount it front or rear.

My AF100 "rig," for whatever it's worth:
