Best Mic For Filming Parties and Such

[Steven Bogda]

Hi,
I am not sure if this has been asked before, I didn't see it when I searched for it so .

Does anyone know what would be a good mic for filming parties and events, that can be mounted on the dvx100b?

I just need something that sounds better than the onboard mic, but can also sit ontop of the mic for easy shooting.

Thanks,
Steve
