best mic for dvx100

ok, im going to buy it. from bh. 2900 for cam with rebate. 4000 came up once i added some accesories. whats the best mic i can get for the came. should i get a big shotgun mic thats not attached that you add the big fuzzy thing on the end. or is there a good mount mic i can buy. from where. how much. thanks

i think im going new. i dont know how much head cleaning is and i dont want to buy used, have to get the heads cleaned and it costs me 1000 bucks

also, can mack warranties be transferred from people to people. thanks

I got a Rode NTG-1 and am extremly happy with it. you should get a good shock mount, and if you plan shooting outdoors with any wind you should get a dead cat.
