Best method for SD DVD from HD?

What would you recomend for 24p DVD Standard Def, from a HVX200 HD source?

I feel like I will be shooting everything in HD, but will need to make DVD copies in SD 24p.

What software method would be recomended?
 
I have successfully edited 720p 24pN in FCP.
Use compressor to make DVD file.
Use DVD SP to author.
Looks way better than DV to DVD.

I am not at the MAC now but it was something like the SD, 16x9, best quality. And if you want the menu 16x9 there are settings in DVD SP to set that as well. DVD SP comes from the old Spruce PC DVD app that I know and love so well so DVD SP is like 2nd nature except more bells & whistles.
 
Does anyone know any hardware solutions to Apple Compressor? I have used it several times with DVCPROHD content as well as standard DV and have never been impressed with its blocking and aliasing.

From HD to SD to DVD on a Mac

Pretty simple:
- Cut in FCP in a Sequence with the DVCProHD Codec
- Create a new Sequence in the same project, using the DVCPro Pal Anamorphic or
DVCPro NTSC Anamorphic codec
- Throw the DVCProHD Sequence into the new sequence
- Rerender the new sequence
- Export (do not change target codec)
- Encode resulting video using an MPEG2 Encoder (I do prefer the
Main Concept Encoder for MPEG2 over Compressor.
- Start DVD Studio Pro
- Author your DVD


Gives stunning results
