I'm an AF100 user/owner. And because I carry a good deal of additional gear with me for my AF100, I was wondering if anyone could recommend a great iPhone or iPad inventory app that any of you use on shoots to keep track of your gear. A checklist app that allows you to tick off items one by one, to make sure you don't forget anything.

I know you could simply use paper and pencil, but I prefer the app method. It's just that there are so many apps out there, I have no idea which one to choose.

Looking forward to any suggestions for checklist apps. Thanks very much in advance.

Well, in iOS 5 apple added an app called Reminders, where you can make a list of items, and then check them one by one when each is done, and they move to the completed list. I guess that app will work for you.

A couple of apps that I use are CameraOrder, and RentMe. I don't know if either is what you really need but I do find them useful.

Thank you both. I find the native reminder app a little too limited in terms of a checklist. Will check out camera order and rent me then. Thanks David.

When you find the app Nicholas ...make sure it has a checklist option off for "TURN VFR OFF".

(BTW - sympathy from me as well)

At first look, what I'm suggesting may seem like total complete overkill for a checklist app. But it's free and will sync with your Mac and all iOS devices. Plus it will do a ton more stuff than mere checklists (if you want).

Give Evernote a try. Once you start using it you may wonder how you ever got along without it. At least, that's the way I feel about it after having used it for several years now. Brilliant app which is continuously evolving and has never once let me down.

I'm using it with 3 Macs, an iPhone and an iPad. And all my info is instantly in sync on every device. I have the Premium paid service, but the freebie is almost as fully-featured.

Camera Order is a great app designed for cinematographers and camera assistants. It has a complete list of cameras, lenses, accessories, filters, support, film and media. This app is a must have if you love cameras. :Drogar-Happy(DBG):
