Hey all-
So I have a great shotgun, and a great hardwire lav, but what do you recommend for a reliable, inexpensive wireless mic (indoor/outdoor)
Thanks

Re: best inexpensive wireless mic

I've got a couple of the Azden 100LT packs. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=productlist&A=details&Q=&sku=287689&is=REG I've had good luck with them. I've read some bad reviews of them, but they have worked well for me. The concerns I've read are that they are too noisy and susceptible to interference. I've not had problems with either. They are not dual-diversity receivers, in spite of the two antennas. So I can understand why audio-pros would frown on them.

But it depends on what your anticipated use is. There are much better wireless systems out there and you get what you pay for. If I had more money, I would've spent it.

I've used these in many interviews, a wedding or two, and documenting speeches. They've worked well. Any problems I've had have resulted from inattention on my part, not from the hardware.

I like the dual transmitter pack in the Sennheiser unit mentioned abve. But it is also not a true diversity receiver.

So if you have more money, get a true diversity receiver like the Shure UP4. I've used these units and have had extremely good experiences with them. But they were always someone else's. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=productlist&A=details&Q=&sku=202320&is=REG
