Best FCP 6 workflow?

Hi all! It's only been a couple of days since I got a hold of my new toy: HMC150P.
I've been shooting at 1080/24 even though there have been mentions of 720/24 being the sweet spot of this cam. I am just blown away by this cam @ 1080/24!!!

Haven't logged and captured any footage to FCP 6 yet. I was wondering, to those who use FCP 6, what is your preferred settings, workflow, etc.
Would really appreciate your input. Thanks in advance!
 
what i like to do, which that pdf does not suggest, is create a folder that corresponds with the footage thats on that card and copy its contents to that folder. that way when you select that folder to bring into your log & transfer window it labels that folder name as the bin name. so that way in the future when you're looking for a clip thats been deleted from your capture scratch you can see what bin it came from, and be able to link it back up.
 
The PDF suggest the method to export & edit through HQPro Res h264 for SD. This method take forever. I will suggest to convert to SD and edit in SD for faster turnover.
Do let me know if there are better method to edit and output to SD DVD.
