Christmas-ish announcement? And then June fest? That sounds about right.

Yeah. I meant:
(Time permitting) announce in early July. Fest in Late October.
Or, (more realistically) Announce in August'ish (maybe mid-August). Fest in December'ish

As we see the end of Summer, will there be a fest announcement in September?

I am very down and I know some other LA DVXusers who are too.
I'm down. Was going to shoot a project for something else but not enough time due to a move. This works.

If it's going to be announced let it be announced soon. Before it gets too hot in the southern hemisphere! And this will be the first one I will have access to a crew rather than family and friends so it might actually get done this time round. Got a writer standing by keen for the theme, required item/lines. So let's have it. Besides, footy finals will be over in less than a month and I'll have nothing to do!

Wish I were banned.
I'm also down to participate. I've recently been talking to a lot of non-DVXusers about the "golden age" of this site, back when everybody who was active also kept making film after film and we all improved together.
Also, receiving ~50 thoughtful critiques on your own sh*tty short films was an invaluable learning experience.

Now that September is here and August is officially gone.... is there going to be any movement at all on this?

I'll check in on this everyone.

I was hoping we would have enough time to create some quality work. At this point it is almost pointless because (for those of us with day jobs and can only do on the weekends) the time is pretty much over to do anything worth a ****. Unless something is announced very soon I think I may just pass on whatever the hell comes up. Sad because I really wanted to get another DVX short under my belt.
