F3: Best EF to PL mount adaprot please?

Hello all. I want to take my F3 and F35 up to Scotland to cover a golf event soon and need a longer lens. Until I can afford a Zeiss 70-200mm PL mount lens I thought a better option would be to use a EF to PL mount adaptor. So my question is what is the best EF to PL mount adaptor available giving me accurate aperature control please? I could then hire out the Canon 70-200mm and use that for the time being. Thanks, Sparky

I'm using the MTF adaptor. It works well and does accurately read and alter the iris. If I recall correctly it does 1 third of a stop increments.

Thanks Surinder. I had the MTF Nikon to F3 adaptor but wasn't impressed by the aperature control ring on that, really unprecise - but perhaps the EF to PL mount adaptor is better built.

EF to PL is really touch and go due to the flange fistances being so similar. EF is a tricky mount to sort out too due to the electronic aperture, since you're not invested in the long Canon glass already, I'd strongly suggest opting for a Nikon mount on your F3 and renting a nikon 80-200mm or 70-200mm - it's a cheaper and easier solution.

+1 what Grug said.

Another option, if you know the distances you'll be working at is a 300mm converted PL lens. Slower lenses won't matter much when you're shooting outdoors.
