Best cost effective waveform monitoring?

Other than lugging around a desktop Mac-Pro, are there any cost effective alternatives, monitors hopefully, or mac laptop software etc?

Well there's always Adobe OnLocation CS4, but it's PC-only. You could always use it on a MacBook Pro through the firewire with Windows XP installed (with BootCamp), it works pretty well.

There are also pro monitors like Panasonic's BT-LH80W that have built-in Waveform, but it's far from cheap. The LH80W is also pretty heavy, especially with an Anton Bauer battery.

Available software includes On Location, Scopebox, Conduit Live, VeeScope, Final Cut Pro (depending on the scopes you need), HD Monitor Pro, among others. There are many threads on this--VeeScope is probably the most economical of the listed options.

Oops, my bad! I'm using CS3 on my MBP, I thought CS4 was the same! Glad to see there are that many options available.
