Lets say you have the hvx, and 2 8GB p2 cards and a laptop with an external hard drive.
What is the best workflow to assure redundancy of your footage in a feature film situation?
If I am shooting DVCproHD - i would shoot on the card - then download onto the external harddrive. Then twice daily i might back that external hard drive up to another external hard drive.
Ideally then i would back up a the end of the day to a backup tape device (not video but data device) - however, that is very expensive. How would we best handle backups to avoid a catastophe halfway through principle photography which results in a loss of footage?
any ideas?
