Hey everyone!

I am about to purchase my EX3, and am gathering all the information I may want to know!

What is the best way to mount my Nikon Lenses on the EX3? and.

What is the cheapest way to mount my Nikon Lenses on the Ex3?

If there is anything else I should also know about that process to!

Thanks everyone!

Duct Tape?

no but seriously, take a look in the 35mm adapter section, older adapters like the Brevis Rev.1-MP.1, RR micro, Sgpro Rev.1-3, Letus FE and others need a new achro to make them work with the Ex1/3, the newer versions from all these companies can mount direct to the EX1/3 w/o any mods.

The first question is do you want to maintain the field of view of the lens (you'll need a 35mm adaptor), or do you just want to mount the lens directly and accept the approximate 5.4x crop fator (then search this forum for info on the Adaptimax)

Hi Honker, cheapest way is to use one of my Adaptimax Nikon to PMW-EX3 Adaptors. Check out my signature.

If you have Nikons with external Aperture rings, go for the original Adaptimax, or, if you have DX or G series Nikons, go for the Adaptimax Plus. The Adaptimax Plus will work with all Nikon lenses, so if you are considering purchasing new nikons in the future, you can "future proof" yourself with the Adaptimax Plus.

It's extremely simple to use. Remove the stock Sony EX3 lens, attach the Adaptimax, attach a Nikon lens and you are good to go. As Guy has said, there is a magnification factor to consider, but for any length out of the stock zoom range, plus macro, its a must have bit of kit.

Hope that helps. We have been working flat out and now there is no currently no lead time on either version and I will post out to you next day, with full tracking, signed for your end and insured.

Best regards
Steve

hey everyone!

I looked, but thats why i posted! Im not sure which is the best way to go-

I want to maintain the exact depth of field with no magnification whatsoever with my lenses.

What should I go for?

Thanks!

Yes as Huy says, you will have tyo buy a 35mm adaptor, which is a totally different device. No cheap way of doing it unles you go to the equipment for sale section of this site and buy second hand, to save some money.
