Hi am new
and i just got Lumix gh1 before christmas.
And am wondering about buying the panasonic anamorphic lens, and since i don´t know a lot about lenses, Do the anamorphic lens go after like mounted above the main lens. So you got like the main lens mounted to the camera and then the anamorphic lens mounted on that lens? If this so
What would the best lens be for film instead of the stock lens?:huh:

Yes, you mount the Panasonic anamorphic adapter in front of another lens. You can certainly mount it on the kit lens, it will vignette once you get down to about 18mm but that's still plenty wide.

If you want to use a lens other than the kit lens, from my experience wide angles tend to work a bit better, but I've seen good results with focal lengths all the way up to 85mm. I'd go for something like a 24, 28mm or 35mm f/2.8 or faster, a 50mm f/1.4 (usually cheap and can be used non-anamorphically for great low light performance). My personal preference is for Canon FD lenses because they are excellent optically and quite inexpensive.

lol, waste IMO if you dont already have a good bag.

If your starting out, just get your basics, 50mm 1.8, 28mm (or 24) 2.8, both are good options in nikon and both can be had for under $100

ty guys
I think i try to maybe buy the Canon 35mm Ef, But if i do so and also buying the panasonic anamorphic lens, what do i need for pulldown rings.. to make the stuff mount presicely on to the Camera.
