Best Case for dvx100?

I have always liked Pelican and still don't understand why people like soft cases. The "crush" factor alone is my reason.

I have 2 dvx100s and need to begin to combine them into an easier way to transport. What type of hard cases are you all using out there?

I am thinking about custom building one that will hold everything, including tripod, but it may get too big.

Let's try it this way, who is using pelican? What's the smallest size a dvx can fit in, with charger, batts etc.

I guess the better question is, How is everyone transporting your stuff to events?

Since DVX owners don't seem to be responding, here's my two cents:

http://www.portercase.com/

They have a couple of ATA flight-rated hard cases small enough to carry on board if you ever need to fly with your camera, and built-in dollies so you can carry other stuff on top of them ...

if you're planning on bringing a lot of accessories with it like a mic, light, external lenses etc, a pelican 1550 would be your best bet. i suppose a 1520 could barely hold it all but if you're low on cash its an alternative i guess.

I've got a pelican 1600. I love it, its all custom cut foam for my camera, rod supports, rods, filters, batteries, charger, mattebox, and tapes. Pelican makes really nice cases.

3 years now, still no hard case. Problem is I keep buying stuff, Im looking at a modular system now for cam, lenses, mics, lights, cables... sheeesh I think I need a truck!
