Best Camera To Match Footage with the AF100

Im looking to get a sort of Interm camera while I save for the AF100 and then will use it as a B Camera. I was looking between the HMC40 and the HMC150, but am open to other options. I know people will ask, so, I shoot mostly short films, some weddings, Documentary footage and some rare videos for corporate. I was looking for what the best camera was to be able to math the look the AF100 has the easiest, minus the DOF control. I would appreciate the help.

Get a Gh2. They're cheap and really deliver an impressive picture for the price. Plus any lenses you get with it will work seamlessly on the Af100. I know three people with Af100s using the Gh2 as B Cams.

As Much as I would like the DOF control already, the fact that I have to buy a Seperate Audio Recorder, and a viewfinder, and it all compiles. I am not a huge fan of the DSLR Form Factor, and was considering one once I got the 100 simply as a C camera for places either the 100 or the 40/150 couldn't go.

The GH2 will get you used to the MFT format .. and you'll really appreciate the controls that the AF100 gives you :)
Sometimes figuring out how to map the scene settings on the AF100 to the mumbo jumbo in the GH2 menus is difficult.

We shoot often with HPX170s and the AF100. You can see our stuff here -> http://vimeo.com/25086499

AF100 @ 200mm f/8 or so and 2000ISO; HPX170s at low gain f4.8. We did work to match the colors and look. Pretty close. AF is the straight on cam, where the HPX more of an angled shot.

BTW, the above video is recorded from HDSDI to ProResLT.

I need a camera, I was borrowing cameras here and there and would go to shoots and use their equipment, but i need my own. And At the rate I am getting money, being a full time student, getting the AF100 plus lenses plus a rig, and etc. would be too much for me to afford. I can really only afford about 2500 right now max. Once I get that I can then transition into getting the AF100 because I could do a lot more work. This Camera will be my A camera, A Primary Camera until I can Afford the AF100.
