Best After Effects Class/Workshop

[PegLeg Media]

My work is looking to send me to a 2-4 day After Effects class/workshop somewhere in the southeast US and I was wondering if there was a recommended class? This is one we found: http://www.ledet.com/events?product_ids[]=31

I would almost say that I would rather have them spend a years subscription to digitaltutors.com and videocopilot.net.
Almost all workshops Ive tried have been too shallow trying to cover too many bases over too short a timespan.

Buy this:

to learn the basics of setting up projects, layers, key frames etc. Then go to Video Copilot to study advanced effects and tricks. The book is also a great reference to refer back to in the future.

And anyone - ANYONE - getting into AE should get the latest Mark Christensen book. I've yet to see books for any software that are as good as his AE books. Super-useful and very enjoyable reading to boot.
