I used an A7S before, but I will not be able to get my hands on the A7S II until the day of the shoot. This will be used on a short film shot in overcast daylight and dimly lit interior scenes. I hope some knowledgeable people who have used this camera can help recommend the best settings as there is relatively little information now.
1st question:
Looking at resources on the internet, S-log2 with S-Gamut3.Cine is what I gather to work best.
Any other recommended adjustments, such as in Saturation or Detail settings?
2nd question:
According to Alister Chapman, it is necessary to overexpose the A7S +1 or +2 stops to reduce noise.
I guess this still holds true when shooting on the A7SII.
I understand that it should not be overexposed more than +2 stops to retain detail in skin, but when to use +1 or +2?
Would it make sense when it is contrasty with darks, overexposed closer to +2 is right and when the total scene is less contrasty, shoot closer to +1 overexposed?
3rd question:
Which adapter to use with Canon EF glass? METABONES EF to SONY E Mark IV or COMMLITE EF to SONY E?
I have these Canon lenses: 24-70 F2.8, 70-200 F2.8, 35 F1.4, 17-40 F4, 70-300 F5.6
The older Metabones Mark IV adapter has a lot of negative reviews on the net.
Does it make sense to use the COMMLITE EF to SONY E?
Thanks in advance to all who answered.
