best 709 settings for 7Q 4K

Hey all,
I am looking at shooting my first 4K prores the day after tomorrow, and as I have shared before my setting (I am filming at a pre school, those kids never stop moving!) means that as much as I am trying to integrate slog2 into the workflow, there will be times, as a single operator, when setting the correct exposure will be a challenge.
And so I am wondering if there are any tried and true REC709 settings that would be useful for my run n gun...
I have been playing with the 'AB_EOS5D', but if anyone else has any suggestions, or links to posts that would be great.
I am also 'assuming' that the issues with 4K2HD are not present in the 4K2UHD?!
cheers

not sure what you mean with "709 settings" and which 4K2HD issues you are talking about? With the 7Q you can choose for ProRes capture three camera profiles: REC709, REC709 (800%) and sLog2. None of of your other settings in picture profiles as knee, color settings, black level etc will affect your recordings. It's all fixed by the 7Q. 7Q REC709 suffers (still) from purple highlight edges, crushed blacks and imho a too steep contrast. Just have a try and decide whether it suits you or not. Camera profiles like 'AB_EOS5D' don't affect your image. Also you are not able to record cine gamma profiles on the 7Q.

Would it be true if you used straight prores to prores (cant recall if there is a 4k to 4k straight source recording). When monitoring hd to hd prores, even in slog2 with say a 709 matrix, any tweaks seem to show up in the rgb parade. I tried to side by side the fs700 and a7s in 7q monitoring and it seemed aside from needing to overexposed in the a7s and dropping the saturation to -7 in a7s, they were then a pretty close match. I forgot maybe there is no 4k straight prores mode that works with fs700 and 7q. Shame to forgo 4k2hd, but in the interest of a close multicam match...

I was sure I was getting changes in 709 when I adjusted the colour settings....perhaps as referred to by timmytimetravel .
Maybe it was just me....
and yes the 709 issues you reference are the ones I was referring to-I suppose what I am 'really' asking is if there are any 709 profile settings that mean that if the run and gun nature of the gig render the 4K prores unusable I will have an in camera backup? not ideal I know...
