Best 28mm Nikon lens for Letus 35 extreme

Any 35mm Nikon F mount lens will be compatible with the Letus if you have a Nikon mount. The Nikkor AI 28mm f2.8 is a decent lens and can be found readily at a reasonable price for a fast wide lens. The Ais version is nice too but will cost a little more and will have a shorter focus throw so the AI version is win-win.

If you're on a budget the older Rokinon 28mm f2.8 is an absolute bargain, sharp with nice bokeh and can easily be found for under $50. Make sure it is f-mount though, these were made for a number of different cameras.

That doesn't look like a Nikon mount. This one is on the highend of reasonable:

I've never bought from them before but they usually seem upfront about defects and are a shop. I've almost bought from them a couple of times but I usually try to buy higher end lenses and I prefer to get them from the Netherlands and Germany, occasionally Britain. I've found them to always have well looked after gear and to be the most honest nationalities on ebay. The amount of times German and Dutch sellers have given me discounts I didn't request for defects found during packing that I couldn't even spot after being told.

As for close ups you want a longer lens. The 85mm is good for medium and headshots but is one of the more expensive focal lengths going. I got my Nikkor AI 85mm f2 or an absolute bargain at less than $250 delivered (think it was about 220 after Dutch seller gave me free shipping after realising he'd advertised it as an Ai-s model - which suited me, I wanted AI!). Took about 4 months of daily ebay searches to get one at that price, expect to pay over $300+shipping. Also good is the legendary 105mm f2.5 (not sure on prices, this was my first lens and I got it for free before I knew what I had) although the 135mm f2.8 is a little cheaper. Both are excellent for close ups and even extreme closeups. The higher the focal length the further back you have to place the camera to achieve the same framing. I have a 135mm f3.5 which is an absolute bargain. A touch slower than the f2.8 but just as sharp and much cheaper, I got mine for under $100.

I've never looked at off brand options for these lenses but this is the range of focal lengths you want. With the letus you want faster lenses. An f4 lens is borderline on being too slow (although for a 200mm lens you'll be hard pressed to get one faster) with f2.8 being the best price/performance as a rule of thumb. Many f1.4 lenses will cost you more but are soft until f2.8. The f1.4 lenses that are actually sharp at f1.4 can cost double what a good f2.8 will. Of course this is just generalising but its a good starting point. Pop any lens you're interested in into google, any decent lens will have a lot of coverage on the web. Most importantly familiarise yourself with what the Nikon mount looks like. The Nikon mount is about the least adaptable if you buy the wrong lens. You can put a Nikon on a Canon with an adapter but not the other way round.
