Benefits of Bowl vs. Screw on Tripod Head?

searched the FAQ, all i got was prices and opinions solely based on said prices. nothing i needed.

can someone tell me some basic benefits to bowl mounting vs screw on mounting of a tripod head?....i haven't yet bought anything, and i'm not looking for product recommendations...just knowledge of the differences...i will make my own decision as to the product.

i will be using the not yet purchased tripod/head on a dolly, on uneven surfaces, and quite a few locked down nature shoots. bowl vs non?

bowl mounting gives you quicker and easier methods to changing the level of your head. and with bowled tripods(75mm & 100mm) its going to give you a lot of options of better heads to upgrade to in the future.

Bogen sells a leveler that you can use with non-bowl legs. Worth every penny.
