I am a film student at the Art Institute of New York and wanted share this commercial project that was shot with the AF100.

Feedback is welcomed.

Nicely done man!!! Very nicely done!!! Don't expect a lot people to comment on your footage, usually good vids don't get responses due to the fact that 98% of this forum cannot shoot for **** and post only crap footage.

Nicely done! I would've maybe done a bit more CC on that weight lifting footage...seemed a little green to me. Otherwise great stuff...kudos :)

This was excellent - thought the editing was tight and good blocking of the shots. Tell us more details about your settings and who created the soundtrack?

Really like that lens flare in the gym.

well done- great shots, but I don't see many commercials with multiple brands. Looking at it through an advertiser's eyes- the Nike shirt might have to go. I would want all the brand focus on Gatorade. Other than that, it looks like a pro commercial I would see on TV.

Thanks. I really love that gym shot with the flare too. As for the setting, what in particular would you like to know?

I do not own the rights to the soundtrack: that composition was composed by Morgan Van Dam. I simply curtailed it to 30 seconds.

Thank you; you're right about the multiple brands. I guess if Gatorade ever sees the commercial they can give me a sizable budget to buy all the no-name brand apparel I want. :)

Great work I like it Dave! Can I ask how you did the glares? That was a nice touch.

Glares as in Lens flares?

I used video copilot's optical flares, tracked it to a light fixture using Mocha, and tweaked the properties in After Effects.

Thank you for the replies everyone; I'm glad you all liked the commercial.

Ah yes that's what I meant thank you for explaining that again well done!

I think I saw on your youtube channel that you had some experience with the GH-2. Just wondering, what your thoughts were on it vs the AF-100? Have you tried the GH-2 in production? I ask because I myself am considering switching to either.

I own a GH2, but I've yet to shoot anything substantial (like a short film) with it. Since my school received a fresh batch of Af100's, I've shot my last two projects with it.

Here is the other project I shot with the AF100:

I absolutely love the AF100.

I own the GH2; this camera is for any consumer who wants the ability to capture amazing footage for pennies on the dollar. However, the Af100 is a professional camera (a tier below the Red) designed for true prosumers who want to produce a professional product for an affordable price. If you have the money to buy the AF100 then DO IT!!!!
