Hi all,

I don't know if this is the right place to do it but here it goes:

I think DVD extras are a great knowledge data base. I suppose that many indie filmmakers feel the same so...

- What are the best DVD extras around there?

I started the topic, I share my thoughts about it:

Fight Club Special Edition
Brazil Criterion Edition
Many Night Shyamalan films like: The Village; Signs; The Happening...
LOTR
Décalage Horaire
Zhang Yomou films like: House of Flying Daggers; Curse of the Golden Flower...

Please share your thoughts

Lotr BTS are very extensive , story , props ,visual effects etc ....after seeing the story part I believe Tolkien read the Mahabarath over and over again and decided to borrow parts of it .

Maybe "the Mahabarath" should be Peter Jackson next project.

Blackhawk down has a nice short shot breakdown ,vfx part about debree was cool to.

I will try to get my hands on signs thanks for posting that.

Most of the extras on The Matrix were really great. Lots of info included about technical choices made for the film, a look at stunts, some of the CGI effects that were so new at the time.

I also liked the commentary track on Crash. The background and inspiration for the individual story threads were pretty interesting from the writer's perspective.

Thank you for the link PaPa.

Probably there are many more titles out there, so keep it coming please...
