Beginner questions re Firmware updates and lens updates

Hi everyone. I am hoping you can assist me to understand what I need to do to ensure my camera/s and lenses are all up to date with software/firmware.

I appreciate this information may already be on this forum and if so I would ask someone please share a link to any existing posts that would be helpful.
I've searched but not found what I'm looking for.

I live in Australia - I have a Panasonic AF-102. The firmware is outdated - currently version 1.17.

Where do I download the latest firmware and can anyone link to info regarding the installation process?

Lenses - I also have a few Panny lenses that I need to ensure are all updated. I have 7-14, 12-35, 35-100 and original 14-140. I have never updated these lenses, basically because I didn't know they needed updating until recently. Any info that anyone might care to share would be really appreciated.

I also have a GH3 so my mission is to ensure both my camera's are updated with latest firmware and all lenses too.

Hi Dave, try http://panasonic.jp/support/global/c...l/hs12035.html Lens updates are there- I think the AF102 update is there as well. The lens info doesn't appear to reference the 100/102 but just Lumix cameras. However it is the right stuff and the instructions are quite clear on the site. Best of luck from NZ Dave!

The site provides a link to download v1.24.

Can I update directly from v1.17 to v1.24?

The process seems to be a case of downloading the update, installing, then generating a software key and equipment profile before then submitting the information at the product activation code website to retrieve activation codes ... right?

But it also says "AG-SFU100G/MC 1080 50p/60p upgrade software key for AG-AF100 series ( It is sold separately and not available to be purchased on this web site. Please contact your Panasonic representative for more information to purchase it.)"

My 'Panasonic Rep' directed me to this website in the first place, so what exactly is being sold separately?

For my own reference the update is AG-SFU100.

I was going to have a crack at it today but alas, I don't have a DC cable for my AF102.
