beginner questions, please help

i have a shoot (no money on the line so its ok) and its been a while since ive worked a camera. I have a dvx100bp and i forget the order in setting up a shot. ie...focus, set the exposure, then white balance....

am i close?

yeah, that seems to be a nice order.
make sure you don't forget the frame rates and shutter speed too. (and audio)
also zoom in to the subject to get critical focus. remember!!
