Beginner question about clips

Hi, just installed the 4.0 demo on my mac, and have been messing around for a little while (probably will get a student edition).

Here's my question:

in FCP, if a clip on the timeline is cut off too soon, all you have to do is drag the tail to the right, until the portion you wanted was now part of the clip.

In MC, is that possible, and how would it be done?

You could by entering trim mode, and dragging. On your timeline at the top left there is a list of icons. The first one is effect mode, the second TRIM MODE (sort of looks like an old fashioned roll of photo film).

The help menu has good articles about using 'trim mode'.
